Not great but in fairness not the worst I have seen, maybe he was born in Ireland? :p And the word is 'liver' :p
My dog has an amazing five generation pedigree. And he's a walking disaster :p

ETA JAYSUS that dog is very closely bred :o

He sired his first litter at 11 months? Just a baby and you'd have no clue as to health issues.

The pedigree is quite horrible: why so much line breeding when Dobermans aren't that scarce? :(

Agreed. It's only linebreeding if you know what you are doing, even then it can backfire, and breeding *that* close, I would also describe as inbreeding. As you say, lots of lines in the UK to choose from.

The only testing I can find, on an admittedly quick search, shows untested or WwD carrier across the grandparents.
The dog is recognisable as a Dobermann but from the photos has nothing to recommend him as a stud, except maybe Big Paws.
The advert, which crops up on several sites in more recent incarnations is misleading. The headline they us is ""Champion KC Black and Tan Doberman Stud - Rocky " and elsewhere he is labelled as "Champion sired".

He may have been born in Ireland and was rather precocious with his first litter born when he was nine months old.
More recent ads have his stud fee as £500 payable prior to mating and a half price return next season if not successful.

Oh god I just made the mistake of looking at GSD stud dogs on there. :(
This one is interesting

Dog born 8.9.2010 advert posted 24.9.11 stating he has a hip score of 3:3, Now I know it is possible to have had the hips scored and back that quickly but doesn't often happen, and as he has already sired 10 pups he certainly wasn't scored when that mating took place.:(

S4S, I believe my later posts have downgraded the first line of my initial post by default :p

And MM, he does not appear to have any known relatives, as well as his amazing time-travelling hip scores....

That site is scary. Try the looking for stud adverts - but not while you have anything in your mouth as I will not be held responsible for ruined keyboards or laptops.

I don't know if its cos I'm not registered on there but I can't find a single GSD with pedigree details showing. Some interesting colours though, I bet if I looked a bit harder I would find BIG PAWS too but I think I may step away from there now to keep the old blood pressure down.

Kye is our pride and joy, big, bold and an excellent example of how this breed should be. Standing at 28in at shoulders and a perfect 32kg of muscle.

Yes, an excellent example of the breed that is a full 5" taller and 9kg heavier than the (very specific) breed standard.

We have owned him since he was 8 weeks old, he will turn two in july 2011. He is a 6th generation pedigree, he has all his papers, but not through K.C. which are only needed if you intend to take to show.

...what papers are those, then? And good luck to the future owners in getting involved with any dryland mushing type things with unregistered dogs, it's a bureaucratic nightmare and excludes you entirely from some of them.

I thought the pedigree was familar and got out the pedigree for my old liver dog who I had when he was 5yrs old and entire. He was by Amazon Sound Machine and his dam was very well bred with champion blood lines.

With his pedigree I could have made a few bob studding him out but he developed wobblers and I was never tempted to make easy money.

Some many Dobermanns are tested now and put their results on line through the kennel club so why would anyone want to use this dog who dosnt even have a show career behind him.

"loves to be protector of the family" was the bit that made me pull a face. I could pass my boy off as "loves to be protector of the family" when the truth is he has rubbish nerves, but happens to look quite scary when he's pushed over threshold and kicks off. He's only 18 months old and I dread to add up what he's cost so far in £ and time in training, conditioning, boosting confidence etc.

Grumble, grumble! I should have had more wine before I looked at this site :p

and they thought they would give it ago as people in the park have said he's handsome or some such shite! FFS!

What a shame we just got Mr Rocky's balls off. I could have advertised him on there for breeding and made my fortune. :D

I'm sure there is a high call for the offspring of a Pointer x C0cker (we are calling him a "pointy c0ck" so he has a designer name) ASBO hyper puppy.

That's shame I could have used him with Pixel, she has a full pedigree as shes a blue roan show cocker, she cant see but you know she is cuddly and for her size has quite big paws so I think we could get a lot of money for the pups, after all theyd be "pointy c0ck-a-c0cks!" :D

;) hehe!

s4sugar, what could that "bichon" be?!

Ooooo... a 'pointy c0ck-a-c0ck' - I want one!

Can I get Mr Rocky's op reversed do you think? Maybe stick the balls back on?? I can't believe I'm depriving the world of his offspring.

I don't think a hyper puppy (as his would be!) needs to be able to see as long as they are cuddly, have big paws and a designer name.

BTW - Rocky has very very very big paws. Enormous in fact! :D It's pretty much the first thing people say when they meet him (once he stands still long enough that they can see them of course...)
