Hi

Well 430am start and have only just got home
ooo.gif

Saf warmed up well and went down to the ring and like others have said the going in the arena was not good the judges end where most of the test was , was rather deep and we broke on the second canter but other than that she coped ok and scored a 38.

SJ course looked the Biz, lots of bright fillers and the break from Novice was just what Saf needed, best round we have done in ages all except for the dog leg where she tried to jump the intermediate fence and I turned to the correct one and jumped it on a 45%angle, made the watching people gasp

but still managed to go clear *insert beaming face and me patting Saf for ages*

Xc course was beautiful, a few deep patches but by noon had dried out well. Had a course hold as I was being started as the air ambulance came in and landed so had the course to myself when I started. Thought fence 3 and 4 were fairly big early on but rode well and she stormed round inside the time, not much to say on the rest of the course except she was fantastic

*insert more lavish pats and big grins*

Had to wait ages for the scores and finished 8th, well done my Saf

Bought a brill photo of her over the fence out of the water she was really giving it some height

Thank you for reading

Oh huge well done! Tell you what, I am not volunteering for day before dressage again in a hurry!! I had the same problem with the intermediate fence in the SJ which is why I think we had the correct one down. And I saw lots of others lock on to it too!

Glad it was just not me locking on to that fence

Think I was lucky the ground had dried out a bit I did see your dressage ring it was horrid, poor horses too

One other thing upset me there today, they had a display called stallions of substance and let children on the stallions without hats

I did go and complain and saw after they had found two hats, arrgghhhh.

Did not see the display, but that is very irresponsible!

TBH it might have been better had that fence either not been up or been way over intermediate height so it did not look remotely jumpable. As it was, it was on a much more direct line than the one we had to jump!
