Last night I heard that there has been another horrific attack (not far from the one at Folds Farm, Godshill involving the competition horse). This incident happened at Bagnum Riding Stables, on 9th September 2010, which is also in the New Forest, but nearer Burley/Ringwood than Fordingbridge. I was told (by my Mum who heard it from a friend so obviously jungle drums are beating their way across the Forest) that one was murdered and another, a gelding, was mutilated but this differs to the Echo who reported it as two horses being maimed in seperate incidents.

Regardless of what actually occured, in my opinion to assault a horse in such a manner is as dreadful as murdering it; there is someone who is sick who is committing these crimes, and until he/she is caught and punished people in this area need to be on the alert.

Hopefully the owners will catch this person/s before the police find them!!! if it happend to our horses and I got to them they would need more than the police....

disgusting :( why are there so many sick individuals in this world these days, something needs to be done to stop this happening, and i don't mean us being any more cautious with our animals, i mean getting the filth that is doing this to poor defenceless animals and feeding them to the lions.

Sick ba**ards. I feel so sorry for the geldings owner. I took a horse on loan years ago, who years previously had been shot at with air pellets and whose backend and genitalia had been completely embedded with these pellets!! WTF???? is this normal activity - I THINK NOT. SO SICK. I think I would rip someone apart if I found them knifing my boy.

A similar thing happened to mine - think I'm going to contact Hampshire Police and ask them to eliminate someone from their enquiries.....

I just can't even begin to understand the mindset of the people that do these truelly sick things. I have honestly never wanted to hurt an animal in any way, the thought alone makes me feel sick and incredibly guilty!

If someone can do this to an animal then its almost just like a small step up to do it to a human. Its like learning on something that is less likely to fight back/easier to get to.
