As some of you may remember I posted about 4 weeks ago having just broken my finger. I’m going back to the hospital for 2 weekly appointments as it was broken quite badly (spiral fracture of middle bone of middle finger - and broken in 3 places) They’ve said I need to be able to make a fist before I can drive and I am getting there though slowly, it’s in a splint most of the time and is still swollen and discoloured. The question the hospital won’t answer is when I can resume equestrian activities. My boy is only 4 and VERY boisterous, at the moment I wouldn’t even consider walking my quite small dog with the broken hand never mind a horse. Anyone had any experience or recommendations of how long it will take ? At the moment he’s on grass livery but this is a favour by the YO and I need to manage his expectations or move my horse if it comes to that as YO has only agreed to 6 weeks at the moment.
