I said to myself when I bought this little pony that he would be to sell on eventually, when ? that is the question .

Anyways ....He is brookvale tommy tucker by thistledown likely lad out of a waxwing hannah with book(great showing bloodlines) Welsh section A , A real dream to work with ...6yr old can load him, brush, tie him up , really can do anything with him from the ground, He actually rides in a lovely outline just really carries himself lovely . He is green and does need leg on him, but not skittish in anyway ... he is green saying hes only 4 , but boy can he jump , fab technique over a fence .

Correct conformation , was placed first time out (2nd lead rein) ... T also got 3rd in pony games with him , and 5th in junior jumping at his first show . Behaved fab at the show with all the atmosphere , just a great childs pony with the looks also . Also great in traffic .

3k maybe a bit steep but if he is that genuine and is still young then i would put him up for several thousand rather than several hundred so you don't get people who could possibly wreck him veiwing him because he is a cheap young pony.
As I said I could have been way off but he sounds like a nice horse which would get snapped up quickly!

I actually have put him online for sale , and put him in for £1500
Not sure what people think of that ? I did see a pure bred section A in the local paper for £2500 , which i thought was abit steep :S

But yes he is a genuine little pony

Well if he is really good showing quality [I wouldn't know really], as well as being a good allrounder and a safe childs pony, I would say at least £2500.
 
thanks everyone ..... I really dont know what I would ask for him , cause I got him at a terribly low price and now that hes put weight on and hes done incredibly well with us .

It doesn't matter what you paid for him - you've obviously put the work in and brought him on to become the genuine pony that he is today.
 
My guess would be perhaps around the 1500-2000 area if he is still green but if he is capable of competing without being fizzy and completely bombproof then 2500+ doesn't seem too unlikely?

I'd say there are lots of little ponies there but the ones that are both capable competition ponies and easy to ride for small timid children are well worth the money. We went to a local show this weekend and saw a couple of kids on talented but keen little welshie type ponies (great ponies who would have been great fun for more confident riders) and several got scared to tears and or fell off...

On the lookout for something similar myself, and i'm prepared to pay up to about 1300 for something not so well bred. If I was looking for a safe comp pony I'd happily pay up to 2k.
 
Well so far he has shown no signs of being fizzy , saying that hes only been to one show, but I KNOW , dont ask me how , but he just seems to be the type that nothing seems to bother him . He happily went around the little junior jumping course ( its not big but it was good enough for me ,, for the age of him and T ) .
