Terribly sad to read in the RP today about the passing of Michael Jarvis. A hugely talented trainer and a complete gentleman who had never crossed paths with anyone. His top horses include Rakti, Ameerat and Eswarah. Going back to the old days for those pedigree boffs amongst us he also trained Carroll House, Beldale Flutter, Petong, Tudor Music etc. He was unlucky not win the Derby in 2006 when Hala Bek swerved violently inside the final furlong to finish 4th only beaten by a pair of short heads and a head.
