I insure my 3 horses/ponies with E&L and horsebox with NFU and am looking at alternative quotes.

I've got quotes from Pet Plan which are pretty competitive.

Tried NFU for the horse insurance last week and was told their system was down and that someone would call me back the following day but I heard nothing. Rang again today and left a voicemail message but again heard nothing.

Does anyone have any feedback on Shearwater Equine?

My competiton ponies were insured with Shearwater - We claimed once for a tendon injury and had no problems. They were quite expensive but the ponies were insured for alot.

I have my insurance through NFU direct not my local branch, never have a problem getting in touch. Try this number 0800 072 0168. lines open 8am-8pm, sorry if its the same number you have. I would keep trying them i've been with them for many years and they've been brill, and you will get a discount because you already have a policy with them.
