Thought it was time for another update on the blonde beast!
I have been riding regularly in company and he has still been ridden by the amazing groom twice a week out on his own.
Two weeks ago I decided I was feeling confident enough to attempt taking him out with hubby on foot and he was as good as gold. Straight past the scary man in his greenhouse and the lawn mower in the village. My OH could not believe how much he has come on!
I rode him out with the groom and I had my first canter since the day I tried him and it was fab. He loved it and I managed to stay in control!
On Saturday I had nobody to ride with so thought I would ride him in the paddock and again no problems. He stood perfectly to mount (almost impossible before) and didn't nap at the gate which he used to do regularly.
I feel completely different now and my confidence has grown and I think we have a bit of a bond now.
Next weekend the groom is taking me to one of her clients houses so I can ride in their school and pop a few small jumps!!! I never thought that would happen.
Thank you everyone for your help and support on here. I finally have the horse that I wanted. By the end of the summer I plan to be hacking without anybody and having a good gallop!
