Another new foal last night

Well the third of our four foals was born last night at 9.50 a very large colt with a crumpled ear who is going to go Black like his dad May I.
So three down one to go and fingers crossed that goes as well.
Some not very good pics but will get more and an update of the other two shortly.

Well i did some digging in my mares pedigrees the other day and it turns out that the foals that are born now are over 90 % TB and the rest is Welsh sec B ,Selle Francais ,Hanoverian and arab in very small quantities.
Mare is by Tout Ensemble out of my old Inschallah II mare.
But Inschallah II turns out to be Anglo arab X Selle Francais X Hanoverian absolutely fascinating.
Silverdales full sister Tout Ani is the last mare to foal in a couple of weeks.
Yes Horsenut this foal is a full brother to Bumble.
He is huge my firend who is shorter than me but not much couldnt even get her arms round him to get him to the field.
Mum is on the small side of 16 hands.

Congratulations. Safe and sound on the ground, what a pretty mare, and I love his blaze, always looks smart on a black. Presumably his crumpled ear will straighten out now that it has some space!

Yes the ear will plump up in a couple of days.
It is quite funny really as it looks like a dogs ear all flat and floppy.
Have seen it on a couple of big colts before and they have always been fine .
I think they just run out of room and get squashed.

She was due friday coming and you certainly wouldnt have wanted her to go late.

Quite possibly will run him on to see if he is good enough and if he is he will go to someone to event with a view to grading and then being a stallion.
