Another oil question

I'm considering adding corn oil to Hen's supper.

It's to help him maintain condition (ex-racer).

Is it going to make him fizzy?
Upset his stomach?
How much would you feed?

He's currently on chaff, nuts, topspec and pink powder. Was on buildup mix but the cereals made life a little too exciting.

Karron Oil is what many of the large racing yards use, and is what I use. It considerably reduces incidents of colic, compared to using other types of oil, and does not make them fizzy, and my horses look fab on it.

shouldn't make him fizzy as its a slow release energy source. Haven't heard of any horses getting upset stomachs.

Can safely feed up to 1ml per 1kg of body weight was what I read on here a while ago but obviously build up to this gradually!

If you feed more than that then you would need a selenium supplement to "mop up" any free radicals.
