That's a big horse! Any idea how old he was there, just thinking as photo dated 1924 he was lucky to miss WW1.

That's a proper horse! The farm up the lane had one very similar. The gentleman who was in charge of the work horses used to say "mind 'is feet, miss, mind 'is feet"! A warning I remember to this day, 70++ years later!
