Bodmin pony! Dartmoor pony. I kid you not. There are ponies on dartmoor that are coloured that are just like yours. We had one.
They are bred from dartmoors crossed with gypsy ponies that were let loose on the moors 100s of years ago. They call them the bodmin pony.

He's not officially mine I'm afraid! He's a rescue. He's 6yrs old and the little handling he's had has been rough to say the least. He was only gelded end of Nov hence the neck!!Needless to say he's not backed eitherLOL...I can only just stroke his nose

Yes, sorry...should've mention...he arrived with appalling feet. He'd been shut in a stable for 2 months as they couldn't touch him. Probably never seen a farrier. Thankfully, that long bit broke off with him coming in and out of the field onto the yard and when we had him gelded we had a good look at his feet and they are actually in pretty good nick. Obviously his feet will be a priority though when we get him handleable.

and yes...he was gelded end of Now aged 6yrs.

Interesting...he does do the Welsh head toss, you know, when they fling their head around so it looks like its gonna fly off?..anyone know what I mean?....
