We seem to have an entire raft of people who have lost touch with animal ownership, whether it be dogs, horses or whatever. Pets are now purchased as an accessory by some, or because the kids want one, with no real concept of care or the necessary training/handling required. It's really sad. Any animal which lives in a pack or herd situation will automatically challenge for top place in the group, and pick on the weakest link.
