ok so i never post reports in the forum but seeing as everyone was so supportive over my music CD disaster that happened on day 1 of regionals i thought id let u know how day 2 went (and i know freestyler wanted to know).
well it was just not meant to be a lucky show for me!!!!
i was so excited about doing this class as I love the test and the music is made for this test so i was really looking forward to it. after day 1's disaster with the CD not working I thought it couldnt go any worse. how wrong was i?!?!?
my horse knocked into himself and so instead of staying over for day 3 we ended up coming home this afternoon via the vet!

managed to complete the test and still come 8th but i knew he wasnt quite right and he looked very unbalanced which is not usual for him. vet says he has bruised himself so needs 2 weeks off-not the end of the world as this is the best time of year for him to have some time off as i am very busy and he is already qualified for summers so theres no pressure to get that done. but still very disappointed as was so excited about the music! and had to withdraw from tomorrow. so feeling poo as u can probably imagine

anyway i hope everyone else has better luck than me at their regionals-i hope u all kick some ass!!!

Oh Big Bugger!!!!!!!! But to come 8th is Great!!! Your CD obviously worked today then? What did you do it to by the way? Do you not have a vid you could show us, I LOVEEEE the music to dressage too. What a shame you had to withdraw from tomorrow I bet you are gutted......get home have a glass or two of wine and think about the summer.....at least you are qualified for that.....and at least it is only a bruise........well done though and thanks for the report. What kinda music did everyone use today by the way? Was it all instrumental?

Why do these things happen when it matters,s**t
Did you do music again today, was it at another level, sorry to be thick.I just thought they would do all the music on one day.
Have you noticed how much Freestyler wants to have lyrics,I think she is worried that if she doesn't have lyrics she will start to sing herself and that won't be nice.lol.
My daughter got completely lost in the drssage to music riding club champs and missed out movements and came out in a strop and went straight home ,she found out later she came 4th and calmed down but we are all human.
Sorry you had a rotten day, there will be another

I'll have you know I am now conforming to BD ....no lyrics!!!!!!It was too late to change....but next time........when my CD's come through the post they are gonna wish I was singing!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!! lalalala la LLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh bless you.
Congrats for the 8th, but i am sorry to hear he is sore

Take care, and hoping ponio feels a lot better soon.

thanks everyone, as freestyler suggested i had a few glasses of wine last night and forgot all about it! thats horses for u isnt it! thankfully eventing has prepared me very well for things not going right all the time!!!!!
FinnMcCoul: he is going to have 3 weeks off from today, just to be on the safe side and then hopefully he will be back on form. altho i will speak to the vet and perhaps try him after 10days/2 weeks or so just to see how he feels, and hopefully the bruise should have gone or at least started to go by then. but he can have as much time off really at the mo as he needs. so il just go with the flow! its quite good in a way as he has been working really hard and come on alot recently so it is nice for him to have a bit of a rest in the field. and funnily enough its good timing really as this time of year gets a bit chaotic for me with other things.
im not overly fussed about the winters anyway because for me it is always difficult timing wise as i start travelling alot again at this time of year. it was just that particular music test i had was the one i was looking forward to doing most out of all of the days! oh well-thats horses for u! best to look at the bigger picture

thanx everyone for the support!

thanks Jo C, I know i guess it was good to come 8th. but at the time i was worried about him as he had hurt himself so i guess i didnt have time to think that about even getting placed! does that make sense? i didnt even make the prize giving as had to get him to the vet as soon as poss to make sure everything was ok-someone rang me half way down the M25 to say i was placed! at the time we were rushing to get him seen by the vet as they only had one appointment free and that was my main conern-u should have seen us racing down the motorway to get there!! it was crazy!
thinking about it now i am pleased to have come 8th with that performance but also a bit frustrated as if it had gone well then hopefully we could have done even better-but hey the most important thing is that he is ok and happy. theres always another day and ur right i am pleased to get a placing even when it didnt go to plan. thanks for ur support

at last the results have come up from yest and i didnt come 8th after all thank god as i felt so bad not being at the prize giving! the lady who rang me must have got it wrong. came 11th in the open by the looks of things-i thought it was wierd to come placed after what had happened!!
loads of luck for everyone at addington! freestyler u better kick some butt!!! mine has no lyrics but i did hear people using lyrics if thats any help to u!

aw thanx-my eventer is very fluffy and very fat and spending his days bossing the dressage horse around the field! he still gets alot of hugs and kisses from me though!
he is very happy in retirement at the moment-and feeling a bit better now as he has started to jump out of his field again which is such a pain-but a good sign really i guess!
