So, in preparation of our first showcross tomorrow we went for a bit of xc schooling today. As usual, mother didn't get videos of any of the bigger fences that were about 90!!! I was pleased with the way she jumped today, and I've put together a few little videos.

She was awesome, given she won't have been cross country schooling for a long time! Wish us luck for tomorrow! Then we'll be having a good few days off jumping!! She had the day off yesterday and so was a bit full of it when I took her to tie her up this morning. She spooked, put all her weight down one hoof as she pivoted around... on my right toes!! OUCH!! It bloody hurt :D:D So cue some DIY medical service from my lovely YO i.e. a bucket of cold icy water to put my foot in. After a long soak in the cold water I put my boots back on and got her ready while hardly able to walk! Mother, who is a nurse, suspects a broken toe. Excellent.

It caused me consistent pain while I was riding but I still really enjoyed myself. She was brilliant :o

A real pleasure to watch that, and good for you for toughing it out ... maybe time for a quick visit to A&E now, just another horse related accident, ouch....

Luckily my mother was the boss of A&E for many many years! She has had a look and everything is fine, just need to be careful not to be stepped on again and keep my toes strapped up !
