...............moaning about the bloody weather!!

I came home from a weeks holiday and was looking forward to a ride.

Not only is the ground frozen solid but Zoom has lost a shoe.......AGAIN! This is the second time in two weeks she has lost a shoe. She is bored out of her mind so keeps hooning around the field and losing shoes. I can't put over-reach boots on since she has skinny legs and every pair I try seems to rub her

Monty has now started to drop weight. He is fed a great diet of small meals but at 29years old with few teeth, I think I will just have to accept that he will drop a bit when the weather is this cold......although it makes me worry so much

Tell me about it. In the two weeks i had off over xmas i have ridden................... twice.
The yard is so frozen we have only managed to get the horses out for about 4 days during that period. They are all going nuts. I'll turn hovis out in anything (he's not made of glass) but i daren't even try getting him out as its so slippy.
Then if we can get them to the fields, the arena is frozen, the drive is frozen, the fields are frozen......... you get the idea!
Roll on spring /summer when we'll all be moaning about flies and hard ground!!
