Hi peeps, I have more questions now.
I have an acre and half paddock with sheep fencing. I don't think it is safe with the barbed wire, what should I do? I was thinking of removing the barbed wire which is just one strip at the top of the fence and replace it. Or should I just put up electric fencing, which sounds a bit expensive to me.
Help......

The easiest option, and probably cheapest too, would be to run a strip of electric cord inside the top strand of barbed wire.

You can buy insulators on an arm that will project 10/20cm inside your current fencing. These just screw into your current fence posts.

I thikn that would be your easiest option too. Electric fencing is quite pricey and seems to snap an awful lot

. Wire fencing is good, but very expensive.

I fenced off a small paddock in my field last year and put a strip of electric string across the top using insulated rings (look like pigs tails) string was £9.99 for 50metres and it's great as you can cut and shut it with no probs as miuch as you need to. I'd say this is the cheapest and safest way.
