Can you buy seperate replacement neck cover on it's own?

No idea, but you can buy the PE ones seperately and they fit - they're also better hoods

My duo neck cover really doesnt fit, barely fastens and when his head is down its only halfway along his neck and also strangling him... so thats stayed in the bag! Glad I got a rambo with detatchable neck!

Yeah mine is the same & my boy's only 16hh and fine, I was going to try & just extend it with velcro but then his neck will be half bare.

I rarely use mine as it is so tight, my horse is only a 15.1 TB type and I bought a 6'3! I can't believe the necks would fit a chunky horse and for the money i think they are poor value. I do love the rug though

Yes you can buy seperate neck covers, as I brought a bigger size for one of mine, but be prepared just like the rug they are very expensive!!

Yes you can, I got a spare (bigger size!) from Surrey Equestrian, about £40. Only problem is I had to go for XL to get it roomy enough for my coblet's neck and so it's right up under her chin lengthwise!

Hmmm, do you think if we contacted Horseware they'd swap them for a bigger size?

Seems this is a common problem.

I wouldnt be happy spending any money at all on a neck cover when I brought a rug 'with' a neck cover as the expensive rug is more expensive lol!

I'd honestly buy a premier equine neck and attach that. They fit onto the rugs and they are much longer and roomier - and I imagine cheaper!

I like Horseware rugs but my biggest gripe with them is the tiny neck covers. Therefor I always buy the horseware rugs with detachable necks and buy the neck covers a size or two up. My gelding is in a 6ft3" Amigo with a large neck cover which seems to be fine.

Surrey have the Rambo one for £42 and the Premier Equine one is £30. You can choose weights with the PE one too.

Oh and while we are on questions, anyone know what the strap attached to the underside of the tail flap on the Duo is for?

You hook their tail through it, it stops the flap blowing up in the wind. Quite a good little idea, that one.

I love the little strap on the tail flap, think it's genius! H doesn't bother about it, only when you're pulling her tail through, she's fine once you're done though and it's not tight.

You decided on PE or Rambo then?

My next purchase is either a Rhino or Rambo wug (no fill), erring towards the Rambo but scary thinking of spending so much on a rain sheet!

(idea is I can use my 200g duo liner under it as an alternative to main duo rug when 100g liner needs washed!)

Rhinos are nice too (the rug that is, dunno if rhinos are nicer than yaks) In fact we bought Dubh one & he hasn't even worn it yet. Where did I put that??!
