My vet has said he thinks my 13.2 Welsh a x trad cob who is a similar build to a C could easily take 10 1/2 stone probably more. I am 5'4 and weigh 11 1/2 so am on the diet and fitness kick since he has started trying it on and I need to get on him !
Easy peasy. My 13.2 Haffy carries me with ease at 10.5 stone, gallops all day and jumps 3ft with no problem at all. My friend even had a 5 minute sit the other day and she weighs much more than I do and he happily marched on.
I'm pleased at having read this! Daughters pony is a bit bigger and I've had a slight overdose of junk food lately and been worried about riding him! No need
Absolutely! I have a 13.3 sec D and she has carried me at my heaviest when I was nearly 13 stone without batting an eyelid. I didn't stay that big long mind. I'm 5ft 4 and currently 11st 3 (dieting!) and she still doesn't notice me up there when she is piddling about
Thankyou for all the replies, he has mostly Gurrey lines in his pedigree, does anybody know anything about them? He isn't the chunkiest, was wondering if that runs in the pedigree??
