basically my boy has huge shoulders/neck and he needs a new turnout rug. I have been advised to buy masta or weatherbeeta, as these apparently fit the 'larger boned' types better. the pictures of the rugs on the masta website seem to have quite small necks and i was wondering if anyone owns or has owned one of the masta aztex rugs or any of the weaterbeeta rugs and would be able to let me know what they are like and how they fit cobs? Thanks SO SO SO SO much for your help.

My big grey ( one cantering in my sig) is 17hh and 6'9 with a big neck and shoulders. The older style weatherbeetas suit his shape ( Rocky and Arion) but the one his old owner bought last winter really wasn't cut to suit him ( black with orange lining) I bought him a Fal Pro and that is like it was made for him. I don't have any Mastas now so can't compare.

I certainly agree with the recommendation. i find these a much comfier fit on the bigger/wider chests a necks.
I have most of their range for all my horses, welsh d, haflinger, IDxTB's & WB.

Masta are big around the neck and shoulder and we have used them with great success. We have also always found they last well, don't slip or leak.

Going to have to say Rambo

I went through a stage of buying cheaper masta or weatherbeetas but TBH quality was poor and they didnt last very long. Went onto Rambo and some of them I have had for 10 years and still not leaked once - fantastic rugs and worth every penny! They also fit my coloured cob really well

Some of them dont fit very well though!

I have just bought a weatherbeeta orican and its great - with loads of room around the shoulder/neck area. Would highly recommend a weatherbeeta!
