Another saddle fitting problem! Croup-high TB...

Hi havn't posted on here before, but been reading lots about people's saddle experiences so thought I'd have a go.....(kerilli, if you read this, your session with the fitter the other day sounds fab, wish I knew of someone that comprehensive in the North!)
Anyway, my mare is short-coupled and a bit croup high and fairly wide. she's had problems with back of saddle causing pressure, and front blocking shoulder blades. Thought it was sorted (new saddle, lots of ££££££ etc) but she's getting narky again, so need to find something else! Treeless? flexible-tree? normal? just don't know

I work for a charity driving horses and we ride them too as an alternative form of exersize, using different muscle groups and just for something different. Anyway, they are all shire, percheron and clydesdale crosses being very wide and one being wide and having high withers to boot so as you can imagine very difficult to fide saddles for, so, we gave up! We hack them mainly so being minus a saddle isn't really an issue! Had a few funny looks but its been great for us and the horses!
 
Thanks, that sounds fab. be great to ride a heavy horse i think i have ridden my TB bareback and she's fine, but need saddle for competitions!!
 
Hi, I have a very similar sounding horse I too have been having problems with saddle fitters, currently I am liking the fit of a VSD saddle in particular the Jeffries Adler, it sits nicely behind the shoulders and lies nicely on his back.
A Gp is too forward cut for him and a dressage I don't think I warrant just yet, so have found that the VSD a good compromise
 
Thanks for the replies! May go down the Wow route, or perhaps Bates Cair, or a Humphries saddle. Too much choice, and I'm not great at decisions! Cheers though!
