Did you realise that spies are ........ SPYING ON US???

I'm frankly flabberghasted! I thought they sat in GCHQ or the MI5 building drinking tea all day but - hell no - they are actually spying on us via a dastardly computer programme called PRISM created of course by those enemies of freedom - the Americans!!!

Ironically - ( the BBC informed me ) this is being done by devious meaning - such as infiltrating Google and Facebook.

But hang on a minute...... you don't need to spy on people on those sites do you - the flipping account holders post everything on their pages willy-nilly - for the whole world to see.

So why I ask - is there such a big fuss???

Actually Alan, I really don't care who wants to spy on me. If they've nothing better to do then let them get on with it.

Spying on GS Internet use .
HHO , ride away , horse health , , horse quest , dragon driving , carriage link .....
You get the picture , spy removed screaming from office.

I agree if you post something on facebook you should be willing for anyone to see it.
These places are trying to catch pedophiles and terrorists does it really matter if they have to flick through a few innocent people facebook accounts or emails to catch them?!

to be honest the stuff they're looking for - it's only the people with soemthing to hide who need to worry about this, if you're not a terrorist or amd criminal then they're not going to pay any attention to you

Almost certainly not. However, it does bother me somewhat that there is electronic snooping infrastructure in place that could be used against other classes of people, such as political activists, if there were any moves to become a police state. Mass surveillance has a potential downside too.

Complains probably coming from the same people who kick up a fuss when yet another terrorist plot slips through the net. Ha, Net..:D

Just be careful where you buy your fertiliser and nails from ;)

Never mind PRISM, I'm more irked by my phone company that knows when I leave the country and the car park scammers that buy my details from the DVLA ...and my insurance company that sells my details to the PPI claims people...and my bank that sells my details to anyone interested.

As far as I can see, the only thing that the Data Protection Act did was to stop me obtaining information about myself.

Actually, I think it's a bit of a result. Up till now, if you needed the boys in blue for anything short of bloody murder - you'd have to make an appointment for a Community Support Officer to pop round - in a week or two.

Now all you have to do is tap in, ammonium nitrate, bomb and Google the Pakistan Embassy and the spooks will be with you in minutes!

I can't believe the fuss! Why has it taken till now for the smelly stuff to hit the air recirculating equipment? I don't believe a word about this supposed whistle blower.
