We've had Molly for nearly 11 years. She was short & plaited for a little while, but 90% of the time she's been au naturel.
But she has such a pretty face & Im contemplating hogging her & trimming her feathers. She's not a showing horse or anything so that doesn't matter.
What do u think?

Im scared I'll regret it & it'll take forever to grow back.

:)

I wouldn't hog her but I think she'd look very smart with a pulled mane and minus the feathers!

She's lovely :)

No, definitely wouldn't hog her.

However, she is a really beautiful little mare, who'd be greatly improved by her mane being pulled.

I don't think she is hogging material. I'd pull her mane though just for ease of use but if you want to show in M&M classes then leave alone as she looks a nice Welsh sort.

Thank you everybody. Im glad i asked now because I'd worked myself up to doing it! No idea of her breeding. We bought her as a 3 year old "cob", but most people guess she's a Welsh D x (possibly with a tb or something??)
I often plait her fringe to keep it out of her eyes & her face is just so pretty :)
Will ask the groom from the yard next door to come & tidy her up. I'd never in a million years trust myself to pull a mane! :D I totally adore her though - she's just amazing :)
