Following a great first run at Askham, I took Sid to Breckenborough for our third BE90.
The dressage was much better than last time but still a bit tense and lacking fluidity. However, our score crept up to 38.5 this time around.
He then jumped a cracking clear round show jumping around an interesting course in a sloped field so I felt rather chuffed with ourselves!
The XC was definitely the trickiest so far and had a decent corner, something that he's never seen before, but Sid made nothing of it and flew over it. We even made the time which was a miracle in itself as I forgot where I was going half way through and had to do a handbrake turn to avoid missing a fence out! It was great to have got our first double clear and finish on our dressage score.
I was just putting him back on the trailer when I overheard that 6th position was on 37. So, optimistically, I stayed on for the price giving and it turned out I came 7th and got a lovely purple frilly!
It's only a small victory but it was great to feel that if I can sort his dressage out, we could get a lot out of this year!
If my forum skills have improved somewhat, there should be some picture links below...
Rocking his perm at the end

Thanks again to anyone that's taken the time to read and have a good friday
