Another question, been browsing working husky websites and I notice a few have Euro hounds or Alaskan husky's and run them in open races so I have read. Yet when you read the rules, it states only KC reg Sibes, Mals and Eskimo dogs can run.

Can somebody explain please

There's a few people near us that have hounds. They run them at SDAS (Scottish sled dog association) rallies who have open and registered classes. They are seriously fast!!! With SDAS any breed can run providing they are happy to be harnessed and are enthusiatic!! You have to register the dog with SDAS at the start of the year, but it doesn't need to be KC registered. There is also the NSDSC (National sled dog centre) who hold the odd rally up here and you can run any breed at all, registered or not, with them. BSHRA won't allow Siberian Huskies with Zero bloodines to run at their rallies.

I does get quite complicated! We have a border collie and he enjoys running in harness with our huskies. He lives in the pack with them as well.
