my friends often like to come take pictures of the ponies with their nice posh cameras (full permission to post), and yesterday was lolas first time joining in on the fun! it was very windy and cold, but she schooled like a pro, we are now slowly getting the idea of canter, and when we do get it, its always on the right leg good mare, we have started some rein back work too in the start of training to do gates! good mare, i am slowly getting braver on her and more happy to push her a bit now i am beginning to trust her a little more, she attempted to rear when i first asked for a rein-back, but i sat quiet, and persisted, and she gave me exactly what i asked for, and she gets a bit stroppy if you have to use your leg too strongly, que a short whip to tap her up i thought you would all like to see her progress..
sept 11, just before she dumped me through a fence ...
yesterday
canter is still a little hairraising (it looks worse than it is! the right rein is her much worse rein)
left rein is much better
so yeah, onwards and upwards!
on a tiger note, he has also been well, feeling very fresh recently! and is much fitter, we are hoping to do some more dressage soon! he has stopped growing and looks a bit more adult now, as opposed to a lanky youngster lol. He hasnt jumped (properly) in quite a while while i tried to regain control of his canter a bit more and rebalance him after his growing, so this was the first time in at least two months! a couple of pics of him yesterday!
(no idea why i am twisting! need to correct this!)
and on a comedy note, first jump of the day...
please no crit, im still getting to grips with my nerves on lola and tigers power over a fence, and am very rusty when it comes to jumping, and we are still getting to grips with each other, we had a very fun day yesterday which was confidence building for us all
thankyou for reading!
