I think we have 3 choices for the supreme orange one...

This one is the local dressage stallion I was thinking about, finally found him! I was told he was only 15.2 so grown a little but not a problem, a few people who know him think he is fantastic and moves beautifully...

Lambrigg Valentine

Or... have seen an advert for a local tri-coloured 15.2 polish warmblood, by Centyfield Nico. He's called Wainstones Fandango. No weblink for him but looks very good, but only 3 I think, first crop of foals due this year so unproven yet... and I guess he'll grow a bit more.

Or the arab I had my eye one, Judals Raphael, another youngster but have seen one of his foals and am very impressed, these are the photos they publish of him and the first foal they had... He should mature to 15.2

Thoughts? I'm going to arrange to go see all of them as they are all pretty local... Anyone know much about the Centyfields ones?

OR do the colour experts have any ideas re: options of what I could get from an appy to a chestnut mare, or a tri coloured?

Have you looked at the SPSS graded stallions. the SPSS now include stallions up to 15.2 and at least the stallions have been independently inspected.

I suppose it really depends on what you want to breed ...
don't know any of the stallions, but have had some dealings with centyfield stock (but not Nico).
I schooled and bought on a just backed 3yo Centyfor (out of TB mare)- very laid back chap, bone idle in fact, but a nice looker, workmanlike mover and had a good jump in him, nice all round type.
Have also ridden a friends mare, also Centyfor x Tb, super looker and mover, more quality than the above but a bit of a drama queen (although that could be from the Dam) and a bit late maturing, more a dressage type.

I saw Nico 4 years ago when at the stud; he was actually being ridden past as we arrived; sorry, did not like him one bit (had been impressed, sort of, by his stud card and willing to be swayed from Siren, but he did not impress me in the flesh at all, sorry!)

That foal is a bit smart! He's been your choice for a long time hasn't he, I'm very superstitious about changing my mind so I expect I would be sticking with him!
Saying that though, the spotty is also very nice; he would be even if he was a solid colour too if that makes sense. Only thing is, could you bear to have a **PINK** foal?! Could you live with that chance cos I'm sorry, I couldn't!! Do you know what he's produced from red ladies in the past, that would help as otherwise, he's a nice sort.

I'd be fine with pink!!!

I think the lady that owns the Spotty will remember my mare actually, and possibly me, just haven't had chance to bump into her yet...

Its such a dilemma... I basically want an all rounder. Asti has such a lovely nature and will do anything, the top of the wish list is nature, I want to use a really nice natured stallion. Asti's sire is a fab stallion, pure TB but a big sweetheart and not a nasty bone in his body, so I want to find one like that!

I do really like the Arab but I'm still faffing about if he's big enough, or will throw big enough as an arab cross will be quite fine, and I don't want to look like I'm too big.

I think I'll do the rounds with digi camera and report back, see what people think, quite fancy a pink foal though!!!!
