Another Storm thread.

I thought we could all keep each other updated on how things are around the country, I'm in Hampshire and so far it's not raining and the wind hasn't picked up, just like any other slightly unsettled evening.

Wind picked up about an hour ago, had the odd spitting rain shower that passed quickly

We are in Essex. All quiet at the moment, no rain. Was blowing up earlier but seems ok now...

Norfolk / Cambs border it's blustery but not awful. It's not raining yet.

Shropshire. ..wind definately picking up but not terrible. Raining....as usual

Mid-Sussex - quite gusty with lots of leaves and small branches down, not particularly rainy although we've just had a sudden downpour that ended as quickly as it began.

South Lincs - been windy all day some strong gusts but actually a nice warm sunny day - other than the wind - no rain here yet either but I'm guessing you guys in the south will get it first. We're not due it until 3am ish.

I'm not in UK but am in North West France, Pays de la Loire, and we are getting the same storm as you guys.

Wind starting to blow quite hard, rain falling heavily. Have a feeling this will be a sleepless night.

Northumberland windy rain in the wind but not pouring ATM unpleasant wind but not dangerous ( yet)

W.Yorks border windy all day with horribly heavy showers. Wind seems to be picking up a bit more but dry atm.

There were bits of branches blown down when I first looked out this morning and I got a mouthful of wet leaves when I went outside.

Im in surrey, we have had bit of wind, no rain today. Better weather than expected but not to say it wont happen tomorrow.

Lovely ride this morning in wind, just avoided rain which has been on and off all day. All internet forecasts for our area seem to be saying Max winds 40 not 70 mph, hope they r right ! Van moved out of way of potential falling branches and nags rugged and ready.

Conversely in South Oxfordshire we have a light breeze and it hasn't rained for several hours.

East Lancashire - been slightly windy all day but it's starting to pick up now. Some rain showers that are quite heavy but only lasting a few minutes. Some rumbles of thunder were heard around 5pm.

Surrey/Sussex/Kent borders, blue skies and sunshine earlier with a few heavy showers. Rain has now stopped but wind seems to be picking up, not too bad though as the heavy barn door isn't banging yet! I live in a mobile home so could be an interesting night!

South Bristol - wind has eased off a bit here now since a blustery ride this afternoon. Just been to put hay in and its pouring down...planning on setting my alarm for 4.30 am as thats when we re due to get the worst of it, just to check the stables are still standing! Don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight anyway.....

East Sussex. Just got very very wet doing my animals. Getting quite gusty. Horses next door very unsettled,mine isn't sure why but thinks he may be missing something !!

North Yorkshire - wind all day and bucket loads of rain in quick showers. Temperature has plummeted too!

Bristol and it's raining and a bit breezy, but nothing particularly dramatic.
