What is the definition of 'nap'.

I am presuming it is different to spooking, which my lad like to do when passing horse eating bits of paper and machinery, but what is napping exactly?

When ned wants to go one way and you the other - nothing happens to scare it, e.g. when in the school and ned pulls towards the gate

.

When a horse isn't spooked but wants to go back to somewhere/ something i.e its mates. My mare is nappy and she used to rear if she wanted to go back to the field to see friends etc.

Refuses to go forwards in the direction you want to go but will happily return home or to mates.

Often a horse that lacks confidence in itself or is not confident in the rider.
