Another terrible welfare case - Ireland

not a day goes by that my views on the human race is reconfirmed...... filthy heartless selfish b*stards. Words cannot express my anger sometimes
 
Nothing like the jamie grey case, sorry.

The owner of the horses is very ill and couldn't look after them anymore.

We are hoping to take in a few of the horses as we have enough land and shelter
 
I am very sad at the comments above - the person in question was simply too ill to look after them - there were other issues as well that were beyond their control.

Watched this news report and i CANNOT see any single horse in that news report that looks underweight or thin.

And the man says the USPCA discovered it a week ago, so why is there no hay/haylage out for them to eat??????

It needs to be remembered that the USPCA will be using the worse photos to portray the worse image to gain public support just like the RSPCA do to maximise their donations.

RSPCA = waste of time, waste of space.

I was not refering to the dead horses. Im refering to the horses living in the news report, they all look well to me.

Regarding the dead horses we dont know the cause of death, it may well be something totally explainable.

These charities such as the RSCPA etc are very good at saying that the dead or under weight horses are due to neglect and not feeding without hearing the owners side of things.

Well I look after my horse well as do many of my friends - never, and i mean NEVER, has a dead mare and foal slipped my mind!!!

People need to wake up and stop making excused for these low lifes
 
and there you have it. the main contributing attitude that lets this kind of abuse continue. where do you THINK the carcass came from - the sky? the post man?

No, not being privvy to the ins and outs of the case, of course I do not know the cause of death. However, I would notice if a mare and foal of mine were off colour let alone DEAD! I would also notice if one of mine had died in the field and not have left the body to rot right down to a skeleton!

Everyone looks after their horses to the best of their ability, because horses are expensive animals and no one wants to loose their horses whether your a private owner or a dealer.

The owner should have had the bodies taken away.
 
oh for god sake, you are actually defending this?

Unreal. Oh hang on, must dash, I forgot, I have a dead mare and foal outside......bins are being picked up tomorrow.

More to the point.....owner - cant cope.....here is a good idea....lets breed!!!!
