I received mine last night from my local saddlery !!

I put it on only about 20 minutes before i got on as it was so cold i couldnt wait any longer !! now my boy is very good at home but doesnt get ridden at night very often and is a little spooky (scared of big shadows) he didnt look at anything and after i had warmed both of us up - about another 20 minutes I must say he became very soft and flexable more through the poll !!

Our big test is Saturday as he gets very tense in indoor schools so we will see if it works with this and obviously i need to try it on my Mare !!!

But there is no science to say they work!lol!

Seriously, glad to hear another positive experience - I am definitely planning on getting one (especially as my boy doesn't like those scary shadows either!

well they might actually eat him - it was my boys 3rd time of being ridden at night in the dark and the first time we did it he freaked so something defiantely worked (though i cant say it was definately the headpiece) what i can say though is he really was softer than normal and more flexible !!

My groom has a lesson with it today and ive told her to put it on an hour before she rides him !!!

a couple of poeple at the yard are going to get one (they will try mine first) one of the horses is bad at travelling !!

Took me about a month of riding with it off and on to be convinced - like I've said all along - I was one of the most sceptical before I had it

Glad it worked for you too - or maybe!

I cancelled mine from TDS and got mine from a local saddlery i panicked so much about it being delivered in time they personally dropped it off to my yard (on the guys way home)

well i have quite a few more tests for it yet with other horses in other situations !!!

Do you think the magnets are so strong ,they pull the horse's poll down towards this hooves with metal shoes on .LOL

Lol, or maybe the bit will be drawn to the browband! I did think about that this morning!

Wihtout wishing to start another debate .. do you think it is the massive surface area provided by the headpiece that has the effects? Just curious ... dont shout at me

The elevator is padded but doesnt the headpiece have an extendor type arrangement that makes it wide rather than padded?

Ah, for some reason I thought it was a browband!

In that case the bit won't get drawn to the browband 'cause that would just be silly.

I hope they're not too strong or if they are that you all have sufficiently strong legs to resist the force of the magnets on your stirrups and spurs risking you kicking your poor horse's in the head!!!

I am loving this debate ,I can't wait to try mine but the horse is on rest until the end of the month.Just imagining the sight of legs ending up by the horse's ears and spurs stuck to the headpiece

Whilst having a chat to someone the other day about these headpieces, I was told that apparently you can get a Kieffer magnetic browband too?? Anyone tried them?

Bloody hell you may have a point there, will let you know!

What a waste of money, you could buy Nupafeed Liquid Calmer instead, or that Oxy something or other. After all how can a few magnets calm a horse, silly notion!

Oh perhaps you have just learnt how to ride better, because you are less tense now you think you have a miracle cure!!

Magic we had all this on Tempi thread - he doesnt need a calmer and i dont think i amazingly learnt to ride better either!!

If you have comments like that id keep them to yourselv es we dont need another 8 pages of arguements !!

I think you need to read my posts, you may then understand the comments a little better. You know I just knew I should have put a little disclaimer, but anyway if you had read my posts you will know I bought the bridle. As a user I am hardly going to diss the product unless I thought it did not work. I was just surprised by the reaction Tempi got because there has not been enough research done to react in the way some people did. Also I dont think there was as much slating when many other posters have made comments about calmers. For some reason people are more excepting of these herbs etc then magnets.

no i dont read every post on here and didnt want this to go the same way as the last one either !!

well i used it today and gadget got a 4th at oldencraig in the indoor school he was fantastic (also if you dont read my posts he has been really naughty indoors lately rearing and napping) x
