Another Unpleasant YouTube.

How horrible to watch. The men look way too big to be sitting on such young horses and they all looked like a bunch of hunch-backed undertakers too. Surely those babies must suffer a lot of pain in their later years due to this treatment?

I have to say I'm showing my age now but many moons ago the TWH were shown at Olympia and there was a massive out cry as to the way the horses were treated in order to give them the gait including inserting wires into their hooves and they were never invited back. I can remember, even as a sprog, thinking how cruel this appears to be and the fact that this is allowed to go on is just horrendous.
I'm sure there are excellent breeders and showing types that only show their horses as they should be but it all looks way to bizarre to be natural.
 
I haven't had time to read the thread, just the original post and have a look at the video, so I apologise if I'm repeating what has already been said or ignoring other points!

I could only watch some of it as it really upset me (and I'm no delicate little flower by any means). No doubt some weird conformational aspects have been bred into those poor creatures, but some of that must involve some dodgy training methods - they are not moving like horses and their back ends look so odd
