I'm local to you and everytime someone asks me about Rosie I fill them in with the info you have given us. I sound like one of the family telling them how she is getting on. I think we all feel we know her through you. I have also told them not to concern themselves with what the papers say.

Thank you for again taking the time to update us. I read the EADT and it was a bit concerning this morning! I hope Rosie continues to improve.......and you all look after yourselves too.

I didn't realise the young lady in question was Rosie Chinery (not that it matters cos it was a terrible accident for anyone) but WOW what a fantastic rider this young lady is.
She used to compete with my daughter in junior BSJA some years ago, and even then, you could see she was super stylish and her ability was head and shoulders above the other riders of her age.
Wishing her a speedy and thorough recovery with return to riding /competing asap.

thank you so much for keeping everyone updated. We have a picture of Rosie on Billie (the fat cob) on the fridge, and are saying prayers everytime we open it to get food out. i am so pleased her neck is allright. Sounds like Addenbrooke's is looking after her very well, so she is getting the best the NHS can give. They won't really know about the head injury for quite a while. I had a kick in the head years ago, from Kia's first sj pony, and had problems naming things for about a year (and couldn't figure out the sequence of ingredients for how to make lasagna!). I recovered after that to being able to go on to do my MSc. So what I am trying to say, is, it generally takes about a year to ascertain exactly what issues may arise from any injury. But I am sure, as she is at Addenbrooke's she should have excellent neurological assessments. (I used to work as a COgnitive Behavioural Psychologist). Also, as she is young, the brain will generally find new pathways as it retains plasticity.
I know one young lady (18) who had a terrible car accident with brain trauma and recovered well after about a year, and finished her A-levels, and college courses. Her personality has remained the same, pleasant and as grumpy at times as she was before. So DO keep hopeful

I will pass on the good news to Pat and Bill Bruton (my neighbours) as they have been praying for you all too.

Our thoughts are with you all.

Thats brilliant news, glad she is coming on so well, still sending prayers to you, Rosie and all the family xx

Blooming media. They made a good column out of my husband's "We don't want any fuss" when I lost my finger in an accident years ago.
SOOOO pleased to hear good news. Still praying hard and sending good vibes.
Thank you for taking the time to keep us all posted at this difficult time for you and her family.

Yay Fantastic news! hope she continues with the good progress

I hate the news and Newspapers - they get it all wrong, When we had a girl at work fall, the story was so far from the truth it was unreal!
