Hello,
As you may know my foalie Disney was rushed into horsepital on Sunday with Joint Ill, ( she was 3 weeks early )...
She has been doing as well as can be expected up until yesterday. She now gets up alone to drink, and the plasma worked, she's now putting full weight on her hock - the effected joint... Yesterday, bloods were taken again and her inflammatory markers were raised. There is obviously some sort of infection trying to get out somewhere but until it shows itself there's not alot we can do. No other joints have swelled and there is no infection in the blood which is food. She's still bright and trying to play, feeding well etc so they arnt on huge panic alert, but it is concerning vets that the inflammatory markers are rising rather than falling...
They're testing the bloods again tomorrow so we will know more then. I'm going to see her this evening so will get a couple of pics...
Vets at Bell Equine have been fantastic and I can't praise them enough.
Let's just hope markers are down tomorrow and we can be over the worst of it...
The name is definately changing to EFS Costa Lotta now
but she's worth every penny !!
