Well, after 4.5 long lonely months, I have gone back to work. Just 3 days a week but I am at least back in the land of the living!
Started back on monday morning 7.30 am, got to about 1pm and decided I needed pain killers. Now, bear in mind I havent taken pain killers at lunchtime for the last 4 or 5 weeks, and I hadnt eaten, guess what happened! 2pm I had to be taken home after nearly fainting! Bloody bloody codine! I hate it!!!
So I have now decided I am only working til 2pm, thats a long enough day for now!
Its been difficult with lots of people wanting all the details of the accident, but I have got through the first week!!! And I am really trying to stay positive, although there is a niggling doubt in my mind I may have gone back slightly too soon, with the amount of pain I am in now!
Bit of a self indulgent post, but I know some of you lovely people have been interested in my progress. xx

Well done for getting through your first week back. Sounds as if it was hard going. Painkillers on an empty tummy is not a good idea (been there!).
Hope you are having a nice restful weekend and hopefully next week will be easier.

Well done, so difficult after being off for such a long time but you sound like you're coping with it admirably both mentally and physically with the pain and pills scenarios. Don't overdo it though and take it at your own pace which it seems like you are.

Yeah, definately wont be doing that again!!!! Completely stupid!!!!

Well done for getting through the first week. I think working till 2 is a good idea. You always feel great when you are at home resting then back to work and wallop! It hurts! So long as you dont need too many painkillers to get through it I think it will really help to get back to work. Mainly for your own sanity if you are anything like me!:)

Well done Benson21 - getting yourself up and active must be the best medicine (within reason of course!!)

I hope this is a real turning point for you now :D

I need pain killers just to get me though a day at work and i didn't have an accident...just the people i work with are idiots!!!!

Lol

Anyway, glad to here your back at work and just remember to take it easy, no point rushing in to it.

Definately feel I have turned a corner now, and finding some sort of normality back in my life. At last!!!
we are going to Fair Oaks sale in Builth Wells in september as we are looking for a pont suitable for in hand showing, so it will give us an idea what we are looking for. Anyone else been?
