Well I've been using mine for about a week now, ridden 3 times in it. I have to say, I haven't noticed much of a difference

The first two sessions she was very keen and on her toes, quite tense and spooky (quite usual for her at the moment, think it's the time of year) but settled as she would normally. Yesterday she was as lot calmer and more chilled out but again she does come out like this on occasion so I couldn't say it was necessarily the headpiece having an effect. Suppleness-wise I haven't noticed a change in the softness or her poll and jaw.
So not really convinced as yet! I will persevere with it for a bit longer, but then it may have to go on Ebay...!

Shame it didn't work for you as well as the others. Anyone know how Tempi and StaceyTanglewood (think it was her who had one? Might be wrong) are getting on?

I think it's really interesting to see a wide range of horses and riders experiences on this in the long term, helps people make an informed decision.

hi i must say mine didnt work on my stressy mare but then im currently started riding her and leaving her foal in the stable so this could over ride the effect !!!

It has worked wonders on my gelding for the first time we got a good score in dressage in an indoor school on Saturday and came 4th in N22 - he normally is so tense we hardly get above 50% !!! i also jumped him sunday and still a lot more movable through his poll and not so spooky or jumpy xx

Donadea - shame it hasn't helped much for you

As an aside - let me know if you want to sell as I'll have it!

Save me keep swapping over from headcollar to bridle (or I might let OH try it on his mare

Ok, I'll let you know!! I think I'll persevere for a bit longer, as they are quite expensive so I don't really want to dismiss it out of hand after such a short trial... But if still no noticeable effects by Christmas time you are welcome to buy it!

Yes, she has it on for about 20 minutes before I ride each time. The only time she didn't was last night, and ironically that was the day she was calmest!

I leave mine on for a good hour before i ride and saw the difference more than when i only left it on for 20 mins (that was an evening when i didnt have time to leave it on for longer)

This is the trouble - I don't have time to leave it an hour before I ride in the evenings. Mind you she did have it on for about an hour on Sunday while I was poo-picking and still came out all buzzy and spooky!

I bought one, at reasonable expense, and found it didn't make a hapeth of difference, and yes I left it on for ages before working him.
I suppose I could use it as an expensive fridge magnet!

I bought the cheaper version (armadillo) and put it on Madam's headcollar last night before evening SJ, so she had it on about an hour, she was soooo chilled and calm in the wagon, and being tacked up - normally she gets excited when I tack her up especially as we have'nt been out at the weekend - did'nt keep it on for the jumping

But the real test will be Sunday, have booked in for dressage at a local venue - will post on sunday with an update.

Started to use ours but he has been out of work, after eventing ,for 6 weeks so not a great test. He is only walking out but is still spooky at everything but we will persist. He is being turned out for an hour while Rafi is ridden ,with a headcollar on and headpiece attached.

Still cant help thinking the effect is only in the riders mind! i wont be rushing to buy one!
