Jeez..I am full of them today!!!

Last summer (yes, summer!)...my tb mare got waterlogged!!!
She was out at night/in during day. She has arthritis and retired so turnout is important..she is on supplements.

She started walking funny...seemed quiet but all else was ok. Got the vet out..tested legs, feet etc. He said her feet were waterlogged..which had made her change her walk. She carried herself a certain way due to the arthritis - they tend to compensate for it - but with her waterlogged feet had changed to now compensate for that, so it had meant she was walking differently.
Advice...move to Spain (if only!), less time in field (so switched to winter time rather than out all night), but with initially time in to 'dry out' sufficiently. Vet gave her medication. He said it may take a while as even though she will be off the wet ground and also not in the rain...it is so wet the air stays damp constantly...so bear this in mind.
He said luckily my mare always came in every day, so any slight change can be seen...other horses that are often retired and not brought in and looked at sufficiently would probably be found to be walking differently and having the same problem.
It would be nice for my horse to be out 24/7 which I know people often say is what you should do and is the 'right' thing...but you have to realise that sometimes it just won't work for every horse.
Seeing as the weather is so wet again now...thought I would mention this.
