Have a look at this horse and let me know what you think he isnt as expensive as i thought they are lookign for 10,000 euro for him plus shipping costs and I'm seriously considering taking a look at him. Has anyone ever heard of the stables before? The name was given to me by someone who recommended them but just wondering what general consensus would be?

My opinion....
BUY IRISH

we have enough good talent in the country!!!!

Looks lovely.

Couldn't work out where the yard is though, or am I being dim?!

I would go over to the continent to buy a horse as I like european warmbloods (have one Belgian and one Hano) but I would try to find someone I trust who has experience buying in Europe to come with me!!!

Both of mine I bought here in the UK,

He's still a bit green but I think he looks very nice indeed. If he has a good attitude and will pass a vetting then I think you would be buying an awful lot of horse for the money!!

If you do decide to go over and visit him, do be aware that a number of these imports have a bit of a tough time settling into the British way of doing things, so you may have a few set-backs for a few weeks....however generally this is small-fry compared to what they offer long term.

thanks everybody he is really nice the stables seem to ship plenty of horses to the states and some of their horses are advertised in H&H daily fun was for sale for 6k sterling in H&H a few weeks ago in case any one is interested!!

Re: buying Irish i honestly think irish horses are ridiculously over priced at the moment I saw a lovely little hunting cob a few weeks ago 15hh black hairy guy v v cute but wouldnt be much use for anything but hunting and his owner was asking 10k euro for him pure ridiculous!!Plus so many useless horses around at the moment being passed off as Irish sport horses its making a mockery of the use of the words "sport horse". In my own personal opinion i think the time of the irish horse has come and gone the horses coming off the continent are much better bred because of stricter breeding programmes something which i feel needs to be initiated in Ireland!!

OK re the above, I totally agree that the price of horses these days has all gone a bit mad but I dont think that is just for Irish Horses, IMO that is just the way things are generally. People have much more money these days and therefore are paying huge amounts of money for horses. But with regards to the days of the Irish horse having come and gone I have to disagree

I really believe there are still some great breeder in this conutry who work really hard to produce top class horses, we still have a lot of talent grazing in various field up and down the conutry

Couldnt agree more.
Travelled a long way to view a well known irish stallions off spring who has just that week been imported from Ireland.
Rode the horse and although sweet and willing was as green as a leaf. Totally unbalanced and didnt move in the way I had been told (more up down) than floaty which I wanted.
They wanted over £6k for it, due to its breeding! it jumped a fence, but knocked it more often than not (it was bearly 2ft high)
Went to try a KWPN at a local dealer, same age (actually was a month younger) who had been imported 3 months before. This horse was balanced, and jumped 1.10m with ease and had done two BN on a ticket with dealer, it was also good on the road, just not very worldly wise.
Horse was less money and so i purchased him. God am i pleased with my purchase!

I really like the look of this horse you are interested in. Go for it IMO

Had a look at the eurohorse website they seem to be selling horses from tenerife stables alright tho i would imagine it would work out more expensive to buy from them since they have gone to the expense of importing horse and they need to make a profit on their investment. If anyone has bought off eurohorses i would really like to hear about it!!

Re Irish horses are too expensive- i made a posting bout this yesterday and really seemed to stir up peoples feelings!!i was told that there is no way that irish horses are more expensive than foreign breds but experience has proven otherwise!!glad your pleased with your purchase BB,s is there photos of him/her in gallery?
