Another what do you think of these horses?

Yes, a little bit naughty to be listed as private - I suppose they could be being sold due to one owner cutting down, but both the picutes smack of being produced, as AM says.

amymay - Im lost, first link showed some dealers but couldnt find any suitable horses on it and second link showed BE results.

Equestrian Direct are the company that are selling the horses you are interested in, whose Director is Jocelyn Riley - whose BE record you now have at your disposal.

Hence the professionally produced comment.......

"Professionally produced" would be a bonus for me, but very naughty to advertise as a private seller. Both look very nice, grey looks a bit chunkier, bay looks like it has nicer paces, but difficult to judge from just one photo. Worth a trip to have a look at both I would think.

sometimes 'proffesionally produced' would actually put me off. All though you would hope the basics to be correct , it can also mean that the horse is used to a proffesional rider therefore making them that bit more difficult for an ordinary rider to ride.

The first one is priced quite high if it is green and needs bringing on, but if you are prepared to pay and put the work in then it looks like a nice sort. The second is priced the same as the first one but it sounds like he has done a bit more but he may not have such good conformation/paces etc so it's really up to you - there are fors and againsts for both of them.

showjumping superstars - Yeah the ad doesnt say what each horse has done. Because theyre not 4yos it makes me think they are a bit green.

IMO they are both nice enough horses for the right rider, although overpriced for what they have done in today's market.
In view of what you have said previously about your own riding, I would look for something older, more 'been there, done that', which can rarely be said for a 6 yr old with no comp record.

I like them both and would defo go and have a look but their website says horses start from 5k so why so cheap for these two?

Pearlsasinger - yes you are right. Im going to see one tomorrow night other than that I cant really find any sane sensible allrounders that dont buck and have done a few comps for 3.5k. Now wondering whether to look at some TBs, only thing is Id want a chunky/middleweight TB. Also I cant really look till after easter bank holiday because Im working and my cars on the blink.

Hello Vibella, how you getting on wit your neddy. I think they are kind of a bit overpriced considering they are green but yes fair point re the website.

Mine's fine thanks Silverstar got my instructor coming on Sunday for another lesson. Always worth a look and offering them less if you like them.

No hacking he's not really seen traffic yet but we can go round the edge of the yard on the gallops we have which runs parallel to the road at points but we are taking it slowly.

I would not be ruling them out because they maybe green, I've known some complete dope's that were young and not done much! one in particular was a 4 year old tb!! They look like they are nice types and worth a visit in my opinion. You can assess for yourself then whether you are overhorsed by them or not. And again imo, they don't seem particularly over priced if they are working in correct outlines and have good paces and are ready to compete?

I like the grey best but then I'm a real softy for greys! I know you've been looking for quite a while for something sane & sensible so like pearlsasinger, I was a bit surprised that you are looking at young sporthorses. Just a quick word of advice (that you probably don't need) but don't get tempted to widen your search to include the unsuitable (been there & done it in the past!).

Competitiondiva - thats totally true. I will ring them about both horses altho Im wondering whether they'd be open to offers.

attheponies - I know what you mean but I nearly bought a 4yo ISH but the vetting showed up some issues and he was totally laid back, such a shame really. However, now Im totally confuzzled!

Vibella - I thought you were looking for a youngster.
