Ideally i was looking for around 5/6 yo's but certainly wasn't looking at 3 yo not that its a problem i just mean that you don't always end up with what you originally wanted - just mean i wouldn't rule out a youngster i tried some 8/9 yo's that were a lot worse than my baby!
I wouldn't worry about a six year old not having done much - they can be slow to mature. Better than being spoiled. That being said, their website shows younger greener horses for more than double the price, so why aren't they asking much for these two?
I like the look of both. The grey is more my type, but the bay has a flash look about it, and I think I'd prefer it. Would happily have either. Don't think either would be that suitable for someone not used to bringing a horse on.
Silverstar - re: thinking of getting a TB, I am going through quite the same thought process, even though I'm not actively looking yet (too expensive a time of year for my liking)
I have previously had two TBs and ridden pointers but there's just something that doesn't sit well me me and a TB, but I do admit, there is something very seductive in the price (of course) and it has crossed my mind too.
I'm sure one day ISHs will be in the same bracket - over produced and branded common and then their price will come down accordingly!
