I am going to be changing my car around August this year and want to get a 4x4 vehicle next.

The vehicle will be used as an every day car for work (roughly do 30k miles a year) and then for towing a trailer for shows (down sizing from lorry, so either a large ifor Williams or an equi trek is the aim).

Vehicle needs to be automatic and comfy for the miles needed to cover for work. I don't want this to sound awful but budget is not really a worry, more concerned about the towing capacity and being comfy on long journeys.

What vehicles would people recomend???

Huge thanks

I'm on my 3rd 4x4 now - got a 54 plate Kia Sorento about a year and a half ago. It's my first automatic car and I love it.

Very easy to drive, nice and comfortable and a good towing capacity - 2800kg from memory. It's thirsty on fuel but then so were my previous cars.

Previously had a Nissan Xtrail. It was ok but couldnt tow as much and the clutch went after about 6 months. Then had a SWB Shogun - hated it, it cost me a fortune in repairs and was like driving a tractor.

Hope that helps!

Please buy our Jeep cherokee....fits your criteria perfectly and we will be selling around August! It is very luxurious and comfy, not the cheapest to run but has fab towing capacity (2.8T), very low mileage on this one (31K)as we use it as a 3rd car but don't need to tow a horsebox anymore.
Not far from you either if you are in York that is LOL!

Thanks everyone!!

Have had the KIA in mind, didn't realise the towing capacity was that high which is a nice surprise :)

Thanks Dizzykizzy, ideally wanted a new car so I get the full warranty etc........also not based in Yorks

I've had 4x4s since I lasted my test 10 years ago.
Its used as my daily car, quite a few miles daily.
The last few months the petrol prices have gone up so much I'm Shocked!
Do I get a small car and lorry or keep the 4x4 for towing and get a smaller cheaper to run car for daily use.
