The livery yard i am on at the moment is on the equest programme, 4 doses a year; pramox spring and autumn, with normal equest in between. There is now talk of just dosing with pramox spring and autumn with worm counts replacing the normal equest to reduce chance of resistance. Has anyone had experience with doing this?Does it work or would it be best just to stay on normal programme?thanks for your help!

Encysted cyathostomes dont show on a worm count either, you need a blood test. Equest treats encysted cyathostomes and should be done around january as they emerge in the spring.
