As far as i'm aware ansur sadles no longer exist. So the story goes the company closed as the saddles gave horses bad backs due to the lack of support they offer for padding the horse against the pressure of the stirrup bars and girth straps. Having looked at the at Burghley Horse Trails i am in agreement.
Ansur saddles are now known as Total Saddle Solutions. I don't know if the design or build of the saddles is the same but it's the same people behind both companies.
Ansur saddles still exist in the US. They are made under license by Total Saddle Solutions. I have bought one and am having problems..so replacement saddle is on its way. Chamois linned saddle cloth caused bumps due to friction, confirmed by my vet and has resulted in steroid injections. My pony went very well to start with, but having not been able to ride for 3 weeks, I am now suspicious. I wanted a saddle I could use for 2-3ft jumping, dressage and just having fun, without constant reflocking every other month.

If you google ansur you get a website - I think they are still there - based in USA. Total Solutions is a new company in the UK now owned by a british guy that used to be their partner, I think he was bought out or something
Interesting talking to my friend who changed to Total Solutions last year....elem dressage horse loves it, young TBxCob now got bad back between C15 and 16 (i think), 3 riders thrown. Her friend who has same saddle as me, chucked their saddle cloth and bought a Lemieux half lined with riser pockets and her neddy now "likes" the saddle. It took 8 rides for my pony's back to become troubled, so we shall see what happens next week. In the meantime its now back to the trusty Albion GP with sheepskin half pad. TS visit on Tues evening, Pointings coming for Albion check Wed am.
