Saddles again!

Just wandering what everyone thought about them? I have sat in a jumping one and loved it but never sat in a dressage one.

Very nice. Basically a copy of Devoucoux dressage saddles. I had a Devoucoux dressage saddle previously, and sat in Antares "copy", and thought it was wonderful! You can sometimes get them second hand by calling the company as well. They are cheaper than Devoucoux as well.
Beautiful quality. They usually exhibit at Olympia at Xmas time as well.

Since when have Antares been a Devecoux copy ,there are lots of differences not least the way Antares value you as a customer shame you cant say the same about the competition. The saddle is nothing like a Devecoux its a lot better finished.
I do not at present have an Antares but I have in the past and it was all very positive.Funnily enough the company told me that their tree does not suit my mare how many times are saddlemakers that honest.

I had one of these (I still have it in fact I just never use it any more) and they are beautiful quality and very comfortable for the rider - but they are very heavy and the tree is rigid, so if you have a saddle that has give in its tree currently, the Antares might not suit. I have now changed to a Stuebben and my horse really prefers it.

I did consider a devoucoux but have heard so much negative things about their customer service, which I think if you are spending that money on a saddle you would expect a high level of customer service! which is why I am considering an antares who have a good reputation of customer service.

I do not believe that custom made saddles can be exact copies of others but they may be of a similar design.

Does anyone know who the rep/fitter is in the UK and do they travel up to Scotland??
