It seems you haven’t read the thread or my update I have tried all you have suggested and as I’m in a terraced property music loud enough to stop them hearing the cat would also disturb my neighbours
I did read ALL of the posts including yours before I posted. I would never suggest playing loud music for dogs as it wouldn't be pleasant for them, aside from presumably keeping you awake even if it wasn't loud enough to wake the neighbours. I have used music for distraction for dogs before and it only needed to be loud enough to be an aural distraction for the dogs so that the problem sound (in your case the cat) doesn't stand out for the dogs. The dogs only needed to hear the radio, not have it drown anything/everything else out. I appreciate that it might not work in your case but I was trying to be helpful.

I was sorry that you were having this problem and I was trying to be helpful; I don't understand why that prompted an angry response but as I have clearly either said something wrong or completely misunderstood the thread I will leave it now. I hope you get the problem sorted.
