so the two big dogs like to play, and play loud.

When we are home we can keep them quiet, they still play but its quiet play but the naighbours have said that when we are out they can hear them barking for two ish hours.....

have got two collars today, one vibrate/sound and one spray to seew which one works for which dog.....dont want to completely shut them up but when we are out do not want them to go on and on....also worried about being reported.

they have had them on for a few hours and as soon as they started the loud play the collars sprayed/ vibrated and they quietened down but still played so i think its working.

will go and let next door know they have them on and can she let me know if they are quiet.

was just wondering your experiances with them.

thankies

I used a spray one on a GSD bitch we took on as a rescue, it worked for a while and then she just shut her eyes to avoid the spray and carried on barking.:p
Personally, I wouldn't leave collars on dogs that play together if it includes rough and tumble playing, as I always worry they may get caught in each others collars.

I've used a spray collar with success for barking and for running off. It only needed using a couple of times and the dog in question learned very quickly. On occasions I put it on but I don't "use"it. Just wearing it now gives a reminder if needed.
Maybe I was lucky but it certainly worked with this dog.

We have used the spray collars but found that if the one wearing wearing it was close to the other and the other dog barked the quiet one got sprayed and so it didn't work. Poor dog got sprayed a few times before we saw it was the other dig setting it off!! Xx

They don't rough and tumble play, just chase with toys and barking at each other while chasing etc.....they don't jump in each other at all its just the noise while taking turns playing chase:D

We used a spray one on a noisy terrier cross and it worked really well for our one, we don't need to use it any more but if she being a pain I put it on (not turned on) and that's enough to remind her to not Get so vocal
