Anti-paedophile demos..

The case of Thomas Smith this week proves that paedophiles are not just friends of family - this sex offender who had raped a 10 year old girl several years ago raped and murdered another 10 year old girl and her mother in April. They were not family friends, the b*st**d was their neighbour. I sure as hell would want to know if a paedo was living in my neighbourhood, and it is a fact that there IS at least one in EVERY neighbourhood.

Prison sentences are a waste of time, they are mixed with other paedos usually on a special sex offenders wing. This costs the tax payers thousands of pounds every year just for one of them. We are also paying thousands for them to stay in secure mental units. Why do we have to pay to keep them?? That money could be spend on our hospitals.

Our government is crap. Fact. There is no justice. The majority of sex offenders will re-offend. In my opinion, if the government will not keep tabs on them, and handle them with kid gloves for fear of upsetting them and their "human rights" then the public should do it. Bring back the stocks. That was how they were dealt with before.

If I knew of one in my area, I would definitely be a member of the mob.

I'm sorry but as a father, if I found out a paedo was living near us..........well lets just say I would be done for murder!!!!!!!
And these people are more protected in our so called justice system than any victim would be. These people deserve what they get, they should be named and shamed. The so called justice system lets hundreds of offenders slip through their net to go and cause misery to another person. I think peado's should have the worst form of torcher handed out to them.
I don't care if people don't agree with me but it's the victim's who I feel sorry for, they don't get a false name, moved to a council house and get protected by the police. It's the people who hide these paedo's that need to be ashamed too.

what DOES need to be addressed is the whole CRB (criminal record check) process. this still has many flaws even after the Ian Huntley malarky... because parents can protect children from people that live down the road... it is far harder to protect them from teachers/trusted adults...

That'll be what the Vetting and Barring Scheme is trying to achieve then?

Seriously, couldnt agree with you more, I manage a team dealing with CRBs as my job and I get so fed up of saying 'they are only valid on the day of issue'

And the rubbish people come out with (particularly school governors

) as to why they dont feel they should be asked to do one...
