Anti rear head collars

How do you feel about these? Someone keeps telling me to get one but u don't like the idea

What do you all think about them?

I'm having a positive result with a dually so don't see the point I. Changing

If the Dually works for you why bother considering something else? There are many anti-rearing/control devices on the market, were you directed towards a specific one? I don't use a specific control halter, just a stallion chain, so I can't really offer my opinion on any of them. I have used chifneys in the past, but as you said 'halter' I am presuming that is not what you mean.

#1 You just thank your 'someone' for their kind advice/opinion and tell them that you'll take her advice onboard in the event that what you currently effectively use no longer does the job...polite answer.

#2 Short and rather more to the point answer ... "it is none of your business what I use on my horse. "

#1 is probably the best way to go about it if you feel the need to justify yourself without causing offence.

#2 is perfect if you wish to cause offence

I used a dually on my mare when I first had her as she kept rearing when led I only had to use it about 5 times and she never did it again! I would stick to that if I were you

I've used a rope halter until last week but we feel the poll pressure that it applies might be making the rearing worse. The friend suggest a head collar which has bumps on the top that apply poll pressure when they try to rear. As I've had negative result from the halter I don't want to try this. I don't want to be rude so I've just said ill give the dually and ground work time before I consider anything else
