Hi all!

My horse's turnout rug is rubbing her shoulders, I notice some of her coat is rubbing away. The rug is nearly new so I am loathe to buy a new one, so I'm having a look at some "anti-rub" vests online - however, many state "not for turnout use".

Can anyone recommend something that will prevent the rug from rubbing? Sod's law it's only her turnout rug that rubs!

Don't know if they're designed for turnout use but I use bossy bibs under my boys rugs! Think they're about £18 & they have a loop to attatch front strap through. I use mine for 24/7 turnout for the last few months & it hasn't rubbed, slipped or died!

Bossy's bibs for me too!

And sometimes you can get their seconds which are cheaper - still brand new and nothing functionally wrong with them, but may have the wrong size label attached, things like that. Think you have to ring them up for their seconds to see what sizes they have available.

but you cant beat a rug that fits, doesnt move, and doesnt rub! many makes of stretchy vests which will help with the rubbing but wont eliminate it entirely.
