He is good thanks, settling in pretty well and bulking up fairly steadily (I will post some pics soon so everyone on here can judge though!!) although he looks a bit skanky coz of rug rub.He is hacking v nicely and schooling well too- he has a gawp at everything in the school before settling down to work, but the gawping is getting less extreme every time
The show jumping is errrr...interesting.. we haven't quite come to an agreement re speed and the fact that legs actually need to be picked up when in midair (that and the fact that he hates the noise that falling poles make- and shows his dislike by doing handstands!!)..but we'll get there
How is Raff coping with being bedridden? x
PS. Soz, what an essay!![]()
He is a cutie*squeal* he's CUTE! and sounds lovely too. raff has a gawp at everything before settling (well, i have a gawp, worry and then raff gawps at whatever i'm gawping at....). but i love that about him.
and he handstands? multitalented. if you can't get him into showjumping, i'm sure a gymnastics team would take him on...
raff is coping exceptionally well with being bedridden. i knew he was laid back, but jeeez, he's still surprised me by HOW laid back he actually is. he just stands there. with a slightly gormless look on his face. usually with his bottom lip hanging... yet, he doesn't seem even slightly depressed. it's been 3 weeks and 1 day now. on about day 3 he looked a bit sad, but snapped straight out of it and is back to happy yet chilled.
i think he's REALLY looking forward to having a good roll. we're a quarter of the way through cross tying time now, so that's good.
good luck with your newbie, what is his name? looking forward to many more pics. xx
